Sector Support

Oska Bright is driven by a vision to disrupt the norm and bring real representation of learning disabled people into our cinemas and onto our screens. We are committed to improving access to cinema for learning disabled people by removing barriers and supporting venues and other exhibitors to diversify their audiences. We’re here to challenge and support the industry to change, and to be more inclusive and representative of the diverse society it serves.

With over 30 years expertise in engaging and retaining learning disabled audiences, we have contacts across the UK and can connect you with filmmakers, local SEN schools and colleges, day centres and groups.

If you're a national venue or exhibitor and would like our help, we can do this in a number of ways:

From Door to Seat: Front of House Training

First impressions count. In this session we’ll work closely with your front of house team to inspire confidence in welcoming a learning disabled audience into your venue. We’ll cover what to expect from this new audience and how to make them feel at ease.

Marketing and Audience Development

We can work with you to build a picture of your local learning disabled audience; who are they and what do they want? We’ll focus on making your programme appealing, tailoring your marketing materials and how to keep this new audience coming back.

Venue Audit

Have you ever thought about how accessible your venue is? We’ll send out a team of learning disabled mystery shoppers who’ll come in and road test your venue. From buying tickets, to getting to their seats, they’ll help you make your venue more friendly to a learning disabled audience.
