Oska Bright Film Festival

Oska Bright is the world’s leading festival for films made by or featuring people with learning disabilities or autism.

It was founded in 2004 by a group of learning disabled filmmakers frustrated at having nowhere to show their work. Starting as a one-day celebration, the festival has since grown hugely in size and impact.

Our last edition in March 2026 featured over 100 films across 6 days at Brighton Dome, across the city and online. Alongside showcasing incredible films, the festival boasts a public programme of panel discussions, artist Q&As, workshops and networking events at our Industry Day.

With less than 5% of disabled people working in the UK film industry, we are driven to make change happen.

“A wonderful array of work and talent was celebrated in an atmosphere of great joy. The awards highlight of the year for me!”
