Oska Bright Film Festival is the world’s leading festival for films made by or featuring people with learning disabilities or autism.

We show bold, exciting and different work from voices you might not have heard before.
At the most recent festival in 2021 we screened 99 films from 26 different countries and welcomed 3,000 people through our doors. The appetite for this work gets stronger each year.

Over the festival we screen ground breaking work, host Q&A sessions, presentations, keynotes and industry panels. The festival ends with an awards ceremony, with awards presented by leading lights from the industry.

Our next festival is going to take place in March 2024.

What happens after you enter your film?

Once entries have closed, the Oska Bright team get together and watch all the films. We spend a couple of months, watching, talking and getting the programme together.

Once we’ve made our decisions, we let all filmmakers know if their film has been selected or not. We will do this in November 2021.

What if my film doesn’t get selected?

We get so many brilliant entries at Oska Bright and it’s a tough job to select which ones will go into the festival.

Due to the number of entries, we can’t offer individual feedback on why films aren’t selected.

Even if your film isn’t selected, we hope to see you at Oska Bright Film Festival.
