Due to venue availability, Oska Bright Film Festival festival will now be taking place in March 2026.
This also means the submission deadline has been extended to Friday 30 May 2025.

Oska Bright Film Festival is the world’s leading festival for films made by or featuring people with learning disabilities or autism.

We show bold, exciting and different work from voices you might not have heard before.

Over the festival we screen groundbreaking work, host Q&A sessions, presentations, keynotes and industry panels. The festival ends with an awards ceremony, with awards presented by leading lights from the industry.

Final deadline for submissions is Friday 30 May 2025.

Rules & Terms:

We only screen films that are made by, or feature learning disabled and autistic people. Please do not enter if you do not identify with the criteria.

Submissions are open to short films from every genre including animation, documentary, drama, experimental, music or artist film.

Short films must be no longer than 25 minutes.

We also accept feature films.

Please submit an SRT file, or provide a transcript. If you might have difficulty doing this, please get in touch.

We are particularly looking to include films from the following communities: LGBTQ+, Black, Brown and ethnically diverse, Women and Young People.

You must have permission in writing to use all the music in your film.
