Comedian, writer and actor Rosie Jones will open this year’s Oska Bright Film Festival Awards Night on Friday 25 October with a stand-up set.

She says: “I am very excited and honoured to be part of this year’s Oska Bright Film Festival. It’s such a brilliant way to celebrate diversity and as a disabled person myself, it’s a subject which I am incredibly passionate about. I can’t wait!”

Following Rosie’s set, we will announce the winners of the nine awards - you can read more about those here.

Closing the ceremony will be a live performance from award-winning singer/songwriter Lizzie Emeh. Lizzie made history when she released her debut album Loud and Proud and became the first solo artist with a learning disability to release an album of original songs in the UK.

Her new music video, Softly Hearing, features in our Dance & Music screening on Thursday 24 October.
